meet mahlako

Mahlako Mahapa is a seasoned South African entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience across retail, sports, and logistics. She is the founder and managing director of Maina SA (Pty) Ltd, and a passionate advocate for building businesses that create jobs and drive inclusive economic growth. With a background in accounting and an MBA from GIBS, Mahlako combines strategic insight with operational expertise. She is also an alumna of the Goldman Sachs–GIBS 10,000 Women Programme and a member of both WEConnect International and the Women Presidents Organization (WPO). Her leadership is defined by innovation, resilience, and a commitment to empowering others through entrepreneurship.
